Why I made this:
Writing a letter is a super lovely way to build connection with someone you like. It will feel great for you to write it, and it will feel even better for the person who reads it.

People ask me all the time, 'why is your Instagram handle @SaveThePostalService?' Well, you just found the answer. Making these envelopes was the original art project I started my Instagram for. I liked searching Goodwill for interesting books with great paper and nice ink, and then I would take those books, tear them apart, and fold every single page into the envelopes you see here. 

For the most part, it was a project that didn't really resonate with too many people, but! I got to practice a lot of important things while doing it. Setting up a website, taking orders, keeping inventory organized, photographing my work, and all kinds of other details that are super important for what I do now.

Metaphorically speaking, this envelope project was my version of the Beatles in Hamburg. The practice, practice, practice all led into what I make now.
