Why I made this:
Color Door paintings are the big stages where my library of colors and patterns can come out to play. I've been painting in this style since 2019, mostly on bicycles, and I'm really enjoying translating those ideas into flatwork. In each composition, I try to achieve a balance of spontaneity and carefully curated equilibrium - using a wide range of visual stimuli but also very specific placement of each element. For me, colors are a door, and I hope that your happiness can come skipping right through it.

Living with this piece:
The matte clear coat feels really good under the fingers, but the texture of the paint still stands out just a little bit. If you've always wanted to touch the art in a museum, you're really going to love this feature of my work.
